Our Projects

Fleek Construction, North Sydney

Sydney Engineering was contracted to design, fabricate and install a structural bracing system for the demolition of a multi-story commercial building in North Sydney. The proximity of neighbouring structures required a reliable support system to ensure safety during the demolition process.

Our engineers collaborated with the demolition team to integrate the bracing system, ensuring safety and efficiency throughout the project. We also provided weld testing and inspection services to guarantee quality and compliance.

Structural Steel Reworks at a Government Facility

Sydney Engineering was engaged to rectify structural steel supports at a government facility after initial installations by another contractor were found to be unsuitable, causing significant project delays.

We swiftly removed the faulty steel supports from the site and transported them to our Padstow workshop. The steel was modified to meet project specifications and then returned to the site for reinstallation. The reworks were completed without causing any further delays, allowing the project to proceed on schedule with no lost time.

Shear Mount Repair and Precision Machining

Sydney Engineering was engaged to rectify damage to a shear attachment mounting assembly after the attachment became dislodged and damaged the mounting plate. The mounting plate was removed, straightened using a hydraulic press, and then precision machined on a milling machine with a fly-cut finish to restore a true mating surface and achieve correct face-to-face fitment.

After machining and fit-up, the mounting assembly was reinstalled with the shear attachment and the machine was returned to operational service, minimising downtime and restoring functionality.

Design and Fabrication of AS1657-Compliant Mezzanine Access Staircase

Sydney Engineering was engaged to carry out the design, drafting and fabrication of a mezzanine access staircase to provide safe and compliant access to the elevated platform. The staircase was engineered in accordance with AS1657 requirements, ensuring compliance with applicable access and safety standards for fixed platforms, walkways, stairways and ladders.

This compliant outcome enabled the client to progress occupational certification requirements and formally include the mezzanine as a recognised and compliant asset within the property for insurance, valuation and future resale purposes.

Engineering Replacement of Impact-Damaged Handrails

Sydney Engineering was engaged to assess and replace an existing handrail system after impact damage from a fallen tree destroyed the original handrails. Following a detailed site measure, our team prepared manufacturing drawings and fabricated a new handrail system to suit the existing staircase and site conditions.

The replacement handrails were installed on site, reinstating safe and practical use of the staircase while restoring the integrity of the access system.
